The All-China Youth Federation (ACYF), together with local partners, will convene the Global Youth Development Forum to foster dialogue among international organizations, governments, youth organizations, youth leaders and all sectors of society, prioritize youth development and promote the joint implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and China’s Global Development Initiative.
The Forum will: share knowledge and best practices on youth development to “build consensus on establishing a youth development agenda as a national and international priority”; showcasing the contribution of young people to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda and co-launching an action plan for global youth development; and provide a platform for stakeholders to work together for youth development and global development.
Under the theme “For a shared future: promoting sustainable development with young people and for young people”, the Forum will focus on four sub-themes: employment and entrepreneurship; climate action and green development; Digital Economy; and inclusive and equitable quality education.
The Forum is organized with the support of UN China, the International Labor Organization (ILO), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the United Nations Program (UNDP), the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) and the World Economic Forum (WEF), among other partners.
