50 years of Bangladesh: Emergence of youth development

Even today, the youth of this country play a crucial role in setting the tone for the future.

From the start, the young generation of Bangladesh emerged as the budding spirits, who not only were an integral part of our victory, but also led the fundamental movements that have brought us to this celebratory day. Today we can proudly embrace Bangladesh’s 50 long years for the countless sacrifices our young people have made over the years.

The voices of young people played an important role in ’52 where they fought for our language and following the aisle of sacrifice for the country, took part in the six point movement (’66), Mass Upsurge (’69), and later in our historic liberation war. Their fundamental inclination towards the development of Bangladesh has always been revolutionary. The youth of Bangladesh have stepped forward to bring positive change to our country through their dedication and commitment. Having reached Bangladesh’s 50th year, we can look back today and recognize their contribution and progression over the years. Bangladesh’s development could simply become intangible if it were not for the youth community.

Even today, the youth of this country play a crucial role in setting the tone for the future. Considering the morale of working for the country in the spirit of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman; Volunteer For Bangladesh (VBD), the youth wing of the JAAGO Foundation has harnessed this potential by enabling the youth of Bangladesh to actively participate as responsible citizens in the social, political and economic development of the nation. Volunteer For Bangladesh provides the opportunity to empower young people, facilitate volunteering, foster self-resilience and growth while equipping them with the tools to shape them for a meaningful future.

As the future leaders of Bangladesh, they are dedicated to making a global impact by realizing the Bangladesh vision 2041 and implementing the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. Our young people believe that the challenges are great but not insurmountable because of the strong 50 year history from Bangladesh. With the underlying principles of the liberation war, Volunteer for Bangladesh aims to move forward with the ever-enthusiastic youth of Bangladesh, and with their inextricable desire and persistent efforts, we believe the sky is the limit for us. as we deploy the possibilities and dream of building a better future for our youth and Bangladesh.
