My name is Peyton Newman and I am the new Jasper County 4-H Youth Development Educator. I grew up in Winamac, IN and was a 4-H member for 10 years. I have completed a number of projects including: Dairy, Cattle, Pig, Goat, Consumer Apparel, Youth Leaders and over 20 poster projects! In my spare time, I enjoy showing my small herd of dairy cows across the Midwest with my family and hiking with my Australian Shepherd dog, Mackey. I am a recent May graduate from Purdue University and completed my BSc in Animal Science. While at Purdue, I was a member of the Maclure Cooperative, Purdue Dairy Club, and Collegiate 4-H.
Prior to this position, I had the opportunity to gain experience in the world of 4-H. I have volunteered with the Pulaski County 4-H Council, interned at the Pulaski County Extension Office, and worked at the Indiana State Fair as a as a showroom worker for several years. I have continued to be involved in the Pulaski County 4-H program and look forward to bringing my experiences and knowledge to Jasper County!
