The District Level Mission Youth Task Force (DLTF) today approved the Mission Youth Plan 2022-23 at its meeting chaired by Poonch District Development Commissioner, Inder Jeet. The plan, among others, envisages the upgrading/skills development of 6,500 identified unemployed youth from different youth clubs. The DLTF also deliberated on the set goals to be achieved under the Mission’s Youth Livelihood Generation Program. -livelihood generation programme, 150 under the entrepreneurship stimulation initiative, 300 under the Tejaswani program to encourage female entrepreneurship, 150 under the SAHAYTA programme, 10 under the young innovators, 20 for the sector-specific program for dental professionals, 10 for the Rise Together program.
The meeting further decided that all other departments that implement different government livelihood generation programs will guarantee 40% of the profits of these programs to youth club members in the age bracket of 18-35 years. . In addition, all departments, within 2 days, must notify a nodal point of contact for information dissemination, questions and answers and feedback related to all department activities, especially self-employment programs for the sensitization of the members of the youth clubs of the district. In addition, all departments must notify the monthly activity schedule for conducting activities in each youth club. For the Young Innovators Program, a committee under the chairmanship of Principal Government Degree College Poonch will be formed for the selection and finalization of proposals.
