Momentum gadgets reiterates its commitment to youth development and signs Chidey as brand ambassador

The CEO of Momentum Gadgets, a Lagos-based phone company, Kingsley Udeh reiterated his commitment to supporting young people and talent as a way to give back to society.

Udeh said this during a press conference on Tuesday to announce the signing of upcoming rap artist, Chidiebere Kalu, popularly known as Chidey, as the company’s brand ambassador. He said the 18-month ambassador deal, which comes with an undisclosed sum of money and a brand new iPhone, will lead to mutual growth and development for both parties.

“My prayer is that my partnership with Chidey will grow the brand, and in turn, that Chidey will grow even more as a brand. Signing a brand like Chidey, who is an up-and-coming musical artist, shows that Momentum gadgets are a brand that always wants to partner with up-and-coming talent in the country.”

The CEO also said the company intends to empower more young people through scholarships and job opportunities.

“As a youngster I made sure that Momentum Gadgets is a business structured to have the youth of Nigeria at heart and would always support the youth and always give back to society because what is life if we don’t can’t give back to society the little that God has given us?

“In this regard, we intend to set up scholarship funds and do other charitable works to help the needy in our society in the near future. By the grace of God who strengthens me, I hope to expand the Momentum Gadgets even further so that I can employ more young people under my wing to help solve the problem of youth unemployment in Nigeria.

In his remarks, Chidey said the ambassador’s endorsement was a sign of public acceptance and support for his talent and brand, noting that his dexterity as an artist was starting to pay off.

“The 18-month contract which is subject to renewal, is a sign of growth in my musical career. This opportunity given to me is to give back to society, and also to continue to give the brand the visibility that it deserves through my rich content. With this, we all grow at the same time. This partnership makes me very happy and fulfilled.

Chidey had released the video for a track from his EP Chidey is Chidey titled ‘Phyno’, dedicated to popular Nigerian artist Phyno, last year and ‘Isi Azu’ last December. He also released a single called “Super story” in January to mark his birthday.
