Families and young people gathered in Marshall for the 2022 Saline County Fair held July 9-17. The County Fair offers young people the opportunity to improve their communication skills, teamwork abilities and ultimately take pride in showcasing their year-long projects. Highlights include a variety of livestock shows, 4-H and FFA project shows, and the Premium Sale held Friday night. This year, more than $140,000 was donated to young people involved in the sale. New this year was the Champion’s Row — an opportunity for young winners of each species to meet the auction donors before the auction. 4-H also presented eight new Best in Show awards for the top projects from more than 650 entries submitted for judging and 148 showing up at the Missouri State Fair.
