COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Council for Youth Development (CYD) has announced Spark Spirit Week 2022 is from September 12 to 16. CYD, with local schools and coalition partners, will encourage youth mental health and family well-being through fun activities to support positive youth development and help area youth identify and strengthen their Sparks.
Students who cultivate their “Sparkstend to do better in school, be more social, and be in better physical health.
Spark Spirit Week community events include Foundation For Youth Teen Spark Night, Family Game Nights, a free skate and hockey game, Spark discovery activities during the school day at Bartholomew Consolidated and Flat Rock Hawcreek Schools, and the main event, “ENLIGHTEN UP!” 14.
“LIGHT UP!” is a free community event for ages 10 and up that features games, wellness resources, refreshments, a DJ, panel discussions of local students and adult parents, and family hypnotist Terry Stokes Jr. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. at The Commons.
