Youth Development Grant and Rapid Response Grant 2021/22 awarded


The Board awarded two funding requests totaling $553 under the Board’s Community Building Grants 2021/22 program at its regular June meeting.

The Youth Development grant category is offered at a fixed amount of $250 per applicant and is available to support high achievement in a cultural, academic, or athletic activity that requires participation in a national, state, or national level event. international.

The Board congratulates Jett Lui who was awarded $250 in the Youth Development category to attend the 2022 Australian School Sport Rugby League Championships from July 3-8, 2022 in Redcliffe, QLD.

The Council’s Community Building Grants include a category of “Rapid Response” grants that are intended to support activities that arise unexpectedly, with limited notice, outside of the window of the semi-annual Community Grants program. Requests in this category are capped at a maximum of $2,000.

The Council congratulates the Leeton Rainbow Pride Collective who received $253 in the Quick Response category for the purchase of a teardrop flag to celebrate NAIDOC week in Leeton.

In addition, the Board delegated the awarding of future Youth Development Grants to the Executive Director at its June meeting.

All grants awarded will be publicly announced via a press release.

The Board also advises all future grant recipients that they will be required to provide a verbal report to the Board about their experience.
